Founders

The Narrow Way was founded by Marquis and Mileah Pinder, along with their daughter Semyra, as a family-led response to God’s call to live intentionally, simply, and in full readiness for Christ’s soon return.

 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, both Marquis and Mileah were laid off from their careers—Marquis from his corporate recruiting role and Mileah from her position in sales. Rather than returning to the traditional workforce, they took this life-altering moment as a divine opportunity to reset their priorities, deepen their relationship with God, and reevaluate their path forward as a family.

 

In this season of seeking and surrender, the Pinder family embraced a full-time RV lifestyle—engaging in camp hosting, land maintenance, and family evangelism. These hands-on experiences shaped their values and strengthened their conviction to live a life centered on faith, purpose, and preparation.

 

From 2021 to 2025, Marquis worked remotely in the home health talent and insurance servicing industries, while also learning practical skills to support a more self-sufficient lifestyle. During this time, Mileah took the lead in homeschooling their daughter, Semyra—grounding her education in biblical truth, character development, and real-world application.

 

In May 2025, after much prayer and reflection, Marquis took a bold step of faith—leaving the corporate world behind to pursue full-time ministry and a self-sustaining life. He now joins Mileah in homeschooling Semyra and serving alongside her in their shared mission: to grow as a family, serve others, and help prepare hearts and homes for Christ’s return. Together, Marquis and Mileah also go door to door, sharing the Gospel and offering prayer and encouragement to families in local communities.

 

Their journey is the foundation of The Narrow Way Ministry—embracing country living, and building homes rooted in faith, readiness, and the love of God.
